Comic-Con JuniorComic-Con Junior and Comic-Con Prague are organized by Comic-Con Prague s.r.o. and Active Radio a.s.
Comic-Con Prague is a symbiosis of western style con with star guests and companies together with eastern European style fan based con. The best of both worlds, that's Comic-Con Prague.
In addition, Comic-Con Junior is expanded with a fun, creative and physical programme for children and young people.
Comic-Con Junior is built on real foundations, years of experience and a serious approach.
Comic-Con Prague s.r.o.For the purpose of organizing Comic-Con Prague and Comic-Con Junior, the company Comic-Con Prague s.r.o. was founded by Václav Pravda, organizer of large pop culture festivals and chairman of SFK Avalon o.s. This non-profit association of fans, which is also involved in the organization of Comic-Con Prague and Comic-Con Junior, is behind the organization of dozens of cons - Festival Fantazie (attendance up to 15.000 fans, in 2022 took place in Chotěboř 27. The first edition of the festival was held in Chotototero in 2014), PragoFFest (attendance up to 8. 000 fans, the last tenth edition took place in 2019), FF Special - FanCity (attendance in Prague up to 6.000 fans, now only a small con in Chotěbor) and GameFFest (gaming part of all the above festivals).
The Fantazie Festival is organized by fans for fans and in some parameters it is world leading. The ten-day program of this literally fantastic holiday at the beginning of the summer holidays includes around 1500 shows, including dozens of tournaments and 50 movies in the cinema.
Ing. Václav Pravda headed the Hewlett-Packard Education Centre for several years. First in this activity and then full-time he organized the Fantasy Festivals and others. He has more than 60 successful events to his credit. In recent years, in addition to organizing them, he also runs the Fantazie Hotel in Chotěbor. At Comic-Con Prague and Comic-Con Junior he is in charge of the programme and organisation together with SFK Avalon o.s.
