Pavel Nový is a Czech actor and one of the most prominent figures in Czech film and television. Throughout his long career, he has created dozens of unforgettable roles in comedies, dramas, and fairy tales.

Audiences love him especially for the cult “comedy of the century", S TEBOU MĚ BAVÍ SVĚT (1982), in which, alongside Július Satinský and Václav Postránecký, he formed an unforgettable trio of mountain dads. The film became one of the most beloved Czech comedies of all time and remains a true treasure of Czech cinema.

From his television work, his iconic portrayal of Fantomas in the series ARABELA SE VRACÍ ANEB RUMBURAK KRÁLEM ŘÍŠE POHÁDEK deserves special mention.

In more recent years, he appeared in the poetic fairy tale NEJVĚTŠÍ DAR (2022), once again proving that his charisma and warmth can captivate audiences both young and old.

Pavel Nový is the recipient of the Czech Lion Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role for the film BÁBA Z LEDU (2017) and remains one of the most beloved Czech actors.
