Biography
He studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague. In addition to painting, he also creates graphics, comics, and illustrations.
Published comics: Oedipus Rex, Šifra mistra Hanky, Trilogie Candide, Češi 1968: Jak Dubček v Moskvě kapituloval, Jan Amos v Exilu, Dobříšské pověsti 1 a 2...
In 2008, he won first prize in the professional category at the International Comic Festival in Łódź (Poland) for the comic "Sbohem má lásko" (Goodbye My Love) (script by Tomáš Prokůpek).
In 2014, he won the Muriel Award in the categories of best drawing and best lettering for the comic Candide: King of the Bulgarians.
Since 2020, he has been working intensively with writer Ondřej Neff, for whom he has illustrated a number of books, such as Vynález zkázy (The Invention of Destruction), Ostrov nesmrtelných (The Island of the Immortals), Zlatý pomeranč (The Golden Orange), Rock mého života (The Rock of My Life), Sedmá vlna (The Seventh Wave)...
In 2024, together with Václav Šlajch, he illustrated the Constitution of the Czech Republic and the Charter of Human Rights and Freedoms.
He is a member of the Czech Academy of Comics and the NATVRDLÍ art group.
