Biography

The second foreign guest writer at the Kniha Brno fair and Comic-Con Brno & Junior is British crime writer ALISON BELSHAM.
She was born in Hampshire in the United Kingdom and now lives and works in Edinburgh. She started writing because she wanted to become a screenwriter.
In 2016, she won first place in the competition for the best story at the Bloody Scotland Crime Writing Festival. When she published her novel The Tattoo Thief in 2018, it immediately became an international bestseller and the start of a series set in the mysterious world of tattoo artists. It was followed by sequels Her Last Breath and The Embalmer.
The author's new atmospheric series featuring Inspector Lexi Bennett has also attracted readers' attention. After The Girls on Chalk Hill and The Girl´s Last Cry, she now presents another work entitled The Innocent Angels.
Alison Belsham will participate in Saturday's program and is brought to Brno by the Kniha Zlín publishing house.
